Our Recent 2017 Golf Tournament
With perfect weather, impeccable course conditions and a wonderful atmosphere, Pohlen Foundation Trust Lindsay Tisch could not have been happier with the success of the recent charity golf day. His particular thanks went to Pohlen Foundation Trustee, Louise Trower and Pohlen Foundation Fundraising Administrator Charlene Conner for their tireless organisation and coordination of the event. Members of the Pohlen Hospital Board also provided invaluable assistance wherever needed and their assistance was appreciated.
Special thanks were also extended to major sponsor, Life Pharmacy, auctioneer John Price and the incredibly generous support by all local businesses and organisations that donated goods and prizes. “Matamata Golf Course looked spectacular,” said Lindsay. “Several of our competitors remarked on the condition of the greens which is a direct reflection of the dedication and effort put in by the club greenkeepers, and we congratulate them.”
With 24 teams taking part, the charity golf day netted a profit of approximately $11,000 which will contribute to the refurbishment of hospital consultant rooms. “We are constantly looking at ways of improving the one-stop-shop approach to healthcare offered at Pohlen Hospital,” said Lindsay, “and by providing fresh, modern facilities, hope to attract further quality consultants on a casual basis.”
